Winnie the Pooh’s ‘Blood and Honey’ Horror Movie Gets First Pictures

The first official images of the next horror film Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey were released, featuring an intensely chilling take on childhood classics.

Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey production wrapped earlier this month, and the first look at the film shows a radically different take on the versions of Winnie the Pooh that fans are used to, with scarier versions of Pooh and Piglet stalking a group of people.

Originally created by author AA Milne and illustrator EH Shephard, Winnie the Pooh recently had its copyright expire in 2021, with the rights to the characters no longer held by Disney and entering the public domain. It was then that director Rhys Frake-Waterfield decided to make the film, although due to the huge increase in press and general excitement the team behind the film tried to speed up the assembly process.

“Because of all the press and stuff, we’re just going to start ramping up the edit and getting it into post-production as fast as we can,” Waterfield said in an interview with Variety. “But also, making sure it’s always good. This will be a high priority. »

We don’t know too much about Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, but Waterfield said Pooh and Piglet would be the film’s main villains and see the two characters go wild after being dumped by college-aged Christopher Robin. “Christopher Robin is distant from them, and he is not [given] their food, it made life for Pooh and Piglet pretty hard,” Waterfield said.
