First-look footage has been released from horror film Winnie The Pooh, and it’s fair to say moviegoers are pretty worried.
According to Dread Central, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is an upcoming indie horror title that shows the famous bear and his sidekick Piglet in a very different light.
The film is reportedly in post-production from writer/director Rhys Frake-Waterfield and stars Amber Doig-Thorne, Maria Taylor and Danielle Scott.
According to the film’s IMDb page, the film is a macabre retelling of the “legend” of Winnie the Pooh and a synopsis reads: “It follows Pooh and Piglet as they go on a rampage after Christopher Robin abandons them .”

After seeing the first footage, fans immediately took to Twitter to comment, and they were certainly split on what the next film should be.
One person said: ‘Winnie the Pooh horror movie is here to ruin your childhood.’
Another joked: “Horror movie Winnie the Pooh feels like a purge rip-off.”
A third person tweeted: “Now that’s a Winnie the Pooh I can get behind!” and a fourth added: ‘I can’t believe there’s going to be a Winnie The Pooh horror movie, omg.’

Someone else commented, “About the Winnie the Pooh horror movie. WTH? Why? This will leave some people with nightmares. Good luck with your project.”
And another bewildered fan tweeted: “How the hell did you turn a Winnie the Pooh into a horror movie... Hollywood please go get a good psychologist.”
Some were unsure about the movie, with one person posting: “Winnie the Pooh was my childhood too. I have mixed feelings about it but would check it out just for a laugh.

Winnie the Pooh is a well-known character first created by English author AA Milne, is one of the most popular adapted for film and television by The Walt Disney Company.
Published in 1926, the first Winnie the Pooh book is a collection of short stories about the teddy bear and his friends Christopher Robin, Piglet, Eeyore, Owl, Rabbit, Kanga and Roo.
This is the first of two collections of Winnie-the-Pooh stories by Milne, the second being The House at Pooh Corner, released in 1928.
