Jessie Buckley directs Alex Garland’s horror film

A24 published the Men teaser for Alex Garland’s upcoming psychological horror film, which will be helmed by Jessie Buckley, who recently earned her first Oscar nomination for her acclaimed performance in Netflix The lost girl. The film is currently set to debut in theaters on May 20, 2022.

The video, which you can watch below along with the poster, features a woman as she gets stalked by a dark figure while seeing eerie and haunting visions.

Men will focus on a young woman who goes on a solo holiday in the English countryside after the death of her ex-husband. It will star Jessie Buckley (I’m thinking of ending things), Rory Kinnear (The imitation game), and Paapa Essiedu (I can destroy you).

“Following a personal tragedy, Harper retires alone to the beautiful English countryside, hoping he has found a place to heal,” reads the synopsis. “But someone or something from the surrounding woods seems to be stalking her. What begins as simmering terror becomes a fully formed nightmare, inhabited by his darkest memories and fears.
