Friday the 13th Horror Film Festival and Music Event

The Bellmore Playhouse is hosting an evening of horror shorts, Q&As with the directors, live music and more on Friday, May 13.

Horror movie fans can celebrate a fun movie and music double feature on Friday, May 13 at the Bellmore Playhouse by hosting Horror Hop at the Playhouse. This one-night-only special event kicks off at 7 p.m. with short horror films from independent filmmakers, followed by a Q&A with the director, reception, live musical performances, and a dance party in the Loft lounge on the theater floor.

Musical acts include punk band the Knottie Boys and Nightshift, a tribute band to Siouxsie and the Banshees. Zombie make-up artists will also be on hand to enhance the appearance of guests upon request, while DJs spinning horror punk, dark wave, industrial music and haunting sounds set the mood. You can enjoy free appetizers and a champagne toast and shop horror-related vendors. A cash bar will be available.

Horror Hop at the Playhouse is produced by TC of Nocturnal Creatures NY and Anthony Labriola of Scared for Your Life. TC described the event as a fun nightlife concept combining “a cinema experience with a full night of entertainment including live music, DJs and vendors”.
