AMC presents the third season of “The Horror Story of Eli Roth” (9 p.m., AMC). It starts with a look at the good and bad horror sequels, and shows that some were way better than the originals. He cites the third “Nightmare on Elm Street” as the best in the enduring franchise.
Among the most regrettable genres are the “cute” horror films that dampen the terror for the juvenile setting. The 2021 movie “Under Wraps” (7 p.m., Disney Channel) falls into this category. Bright and loud, it features precocious teenagers trying to help a wacky, sympathetic mom get back to her crypt.
