Ste. Michelle announces $ 1.2 billion acquisition

A love for Ste. Michelle’s wine seems to be spreading all the way to the east coast. Ste. Michelle Wine Estates recently announced that a New York-based private equity firm, Sycamore Partners, will acquire the company for an estimated $ 1.2 billion in cash. UW Bothell ranks second in salary study

Good news for University of Washington Bothell graduates: your degree will likely earn you much of the change. In a Smartasset study comparing the top-paying starting salaries of graduates from 10 Washington universities, UW Bothell came in second. Just behind UW Seattle, Bothell campus graduates averaged a post-graduation starting salary of $ 62,300. The study took into account tuition fees, living expenses and more when analyzing the position of each institution relative to the others. North Bend Film Festival

The festival season isn’t all about music and food. The North Bend Film Festival kicks off this year from Thursday July 15 and ends Sunday July 18. The fourth annual festival at the North Bend Theater will feature films including Donnie Darko, Cryptozoo, Swan song, The flamboyant world, We all go to the World’s Fair, and much more. Salsa by the water

Grab your dancing shoes and get ready for salsa. This Sunday July 18 marks the seventh edition of Outdoor Public Salsa Dance Social. Head to Kirkland Marina Park to learn step-by-step how to perfect Cuban dancing – no partner needed. After completing the introductory class, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., dancers are free to swing and spin to the beat of salsa, bachata, and cha-cha tunes. Learn more about the event here.
